Green headquarters of Komtur Polska - modern technologies, ecological solutions
We have built one of the most modern and environmentally friendly office buildings in Poland. Our headquarters was built according to the philosophy of transparency, openness, energy conservation and ecology. To reflect the main principles of our company, glass facades were designed to integrate the interior with the surroundings, as well as modern installation systems. The building was designed using innovative thinking about the facility’s heating, cooling and ventilation systems. The cooperation of the installation systems influences the architecture of the building. Thanks to the use of heat pumps and a reactive energy compensator, we are able to generate much of the consumed energy ourselves.
The transparency of the facades allows for high daylight penetration and gives a sense of connectivity with the surroundings – a plot of just under a hectare with a zoned garden designed as an open space for the company’s employees and visiting guests.
Our garden is filled with numerous native species of trees and shrubs, including a small orchard of fruit trees consisting of apple trees of reconstituted old Polish species (old apple varieties).
In addition, in the garden, at the end of the main walking path, a retention pond was created, along with a gazebo and a platform – a garden terrace, so that part of our meetings in the spring and summer season can be held outdoors, surrounded by lush nature. Taking advantage of the qualities of our garden and space so rich in vegetation, we have set up our own apiary – 4 bee families have taken up residence in the yellow hives. We use the honey we obtain from our farm every day preparing healthy drinks and dishes, and our guests can also enjoy its beneficial effects.
