Corporate social responsibility
We believe that every action has a number of consequences, which is why we treat our sustainability policy with the utmost importance. For many years, our guiding principles have been ethics, sustainability in the supply chain, concern for the environment and care for our employees, whom we support in their professional and personal development.
Our key social goal is to contribute to improving the quality of life of patients by bringing to the Polish market the most modern and effective drugs and therapies available worldwide. We constantly monitor the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology market in search of innovative therapies for rare and ultra-rare diseases, thereby increasing the availability of these preparations in the domestic market. We are a forerunner in the distribution of gene therapies and a leading company in Poland involved in importing targeted drugs. Thanks to close cooperation with Komtur Pharmaceuticals branches located in different parts of the world, we give Polish patients quick access to preparations from all major pharmaceutical markets.
We are proud to hold the “Woman Owned” international certificate awarded by WEConnect International to organizations around the world that are at least 51 percent owned, managed and controlled by women.
As part of the implementation of the “green company” project, we are systematically introducing green solutions to our organization:
- Green Road - as part of this action, every employee who gets to work in an environmentally friendly way (e.g. by bicycle or public transportation) receives a pass from the company to use for a physical activity of their choice.
- Company headquarters - our office building sets new standards for passive housing. It is one of the most modern and environmentally friendly office buildings in Poland. Thanks to the use of heat pumps and a compensator for reactive energy, we are able to generate a significant part of the consumed energy ourselves. The building has a very low carbon footprint, instead of classic air conditioning, the rooms are cooled and heated by pumps using groundwater. We have used energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the building.
- Remote work - our employees use remote working 2 days a week, so we significantly reduce the commute of employees to the company by car.
- Filtered water - in the company we use only filtered tap water for drinking. We do not order water in plastic cans or bottles.
- Segregation of trash - we have trained and required our employees to responsibly segregate waste into the appropriate trash bins.
- We maximize the circulation of documents electronically. We print few documents in monochrome, reducing the use of printer toners.
- We use a car fleet consisting of eco-friendly hybrid cars. We plan our employees' commute to external meetings with as few cars as possible.
- We motivate the team to positive and “green” activities.
- Apiary in the garden at the company's headquarters - in view of the annual decline in the bee population, we decided to create a small apiary in our garden. We are very proud of our industrious bees, which in the last season provided us with 120 liters of honey. With the apiary in mind, we take care of the natural growth of plants, especially during the flowering period.
Year after year, we are expanding our commitments to new areas in line with global trends and developments.
